Capel Curig is a Snowdonia hamlet with perhaps the finest view of Snowdon. Society members enjoy a 10% discount at Joe Brown's climbing shop on clothing, equipment and footwear and 10% off standby accomodation at Plas Y Brenin.

Joe Brown's is a long established business selling high quality gear at its Llanberis and Capel Curig shops. Members of the Society enjoy a 10% discount at both venues on production of their membership card.

Plas Y Brenin is internationally known for the excellence of its courses. These range from teaching the basics of mountain navigation to professional training and assessment for people making a career in the outdoors. Most courses are residential, and sometimes there is spare capacity in its accomodation which then made available on a standby basis at short notice (3 days or less). Members get a 10% reduction on the normal bed and breakfast tariff and so pay only £27.50 - good value for quality accomodation and a decent cooked breakfast to set you up for a day on the hill.
